Techniques and Crafts:

Amethyst is hand carved using diamond tools. The original frame is first sculpted in wax, then made in Argentium using the lost wax casting technique. Each step, from carving to foundry, from setting to polishing, is carried out on our premises.

Symbolic:

• The Turtle: In the East, the turtle symbolizes immortality because of its exceptional longevity. The slowness of his approach evokes wisdom and patience (CHGH).

• Amethyst:

  • Amethyst is a stone of temperance, balancing heaven and earth, sense and spirit, passion and intelligence.
  • Arcana XIIII of the tarot, called temperance, represents an angel holding two vases, one blue and one red, between which a colorless fluid, vital water, is exchanged. Purple, the result of this perpetual exchange between chthonic red and celestial blue, symbolizes balance (CHGH).

Ancient Beliefs:

• Philippe de Thaon (THAO): "Amethyst is purple like a drop of red wine, or like a rose colored by morning dew.
