Techniques and Crafts:

The original frame is first sculpted in wax, then made in Argentium using the lost wax casting technique. In my workshop in Cordes-sur-Ciel in Tarn, I carry out all the steps necessary for the manufacture of this pendant: foundry, setting and polishing.

Amethyst:

Amethyst is a stone of temperance. Its color is made of an equal proportion of red and blue, thus balancing sky and earth, sense and spirit, passion and intelligence.

Arcana XIIII of the tarot, called temperance, represents an angel holding two vases, one blue and one red, between which a colorless fluid, vital water, is exchanged. The purple, invisible in this representation, is the result of this perpetual exchange between chthonic red and celestial blue. (Chthonian: relating to infernal or telluric deities, that is to say underground in Greek mythology)

Nephrite Jade:

Nephrite jade is often associated with wisdom and serenity. It is considered a stone of protection that brings peace and harmony. In many cultures, it is also symbolic of longevity and prosperity.

Ancient Beliefs:

Philippe de Thaon (THAO):

"Amethyst is purple like a drop of red wine, or like a rose colored by morning dew. The stone emanates a modest glow of flame mixed with red; it loses nothing by being heated: it can then resemble with red wine. This stone has great virtues, as the books teach us. He who wears it chastely will please God and men, the devil will never harm him, he will never see a ghost, will never have a nightmare; , will not be assailed by terrors or nocturnal creatures; he will never have ulcer or fever. He will never die without confession and his lord will never hate him, he will conquer his enemies. never betrayed or deceived and will never go to prison for long.
