Techniques and Crafts:

The amethyst is hand carved by our talented lapidary and glyptician artisan using diamond tools. The original frame is first sculpted in wax, then made in Argentium using the lost wax casting technique. We carry out all stages of creation in our premises, from sculpture to foundry, from setting to polishing.

Symbolic:

The Beetle:

In ancient Egypt, the scarab was the symbol of the solar cycle as well as resurrection. It represents the sun reborn by itself, the cycle of day and night. Symbolizing the principle of eternal return, it was worn as an amulet (CHGH). In the Gothland region (Sweden), it bears the name "Thorbagge" (Thor's insect) because it was dedicated to Thor (CHGH).

Amethyst:

Amethyst is a stone of temperance, balancing red and blue, symbolizing the balance between heaven and earth, sense and spirit, passion and intelligence. In the tarot, the arcana XIIII named Temperance represents an angel holding two vases, one blue and one red, between which a colorless fluid, vital water, is exchanged. The invisible purple results from this perpetual exchange between chthonic red and celestial blue.

  • The beetle contributes to longevity and protects against serious incidents (DERR).
  • In Sweden, putting a beetle back on its legs atones for 7 sins (JONE)
