This rare painting of the Spanish symbolic current of the end of the XIX century is in line with the painting "Virgo" sold at Christie's King Street during the prestigious sale "19th Century European Art" in June 2015. Symbolism in reaction to naturalism wanted to be a door to a higher reality of sensitivity. The symbol became inspiration for the poetic imagination

This painting under the name "Fairy in a forest" was sold in March 1996 by Lombrail and Teucquam, La Varenne-Saint-Hilaire
